SEO Case Studies for Indian Businesses: Four Verified Results, Mapped to Domestic or Export Markets and INR Budgets
Four SEO engagements with figures taken from each client’s own Google Analytics, Search Console and CRM and reviewed with the client before publication. For an Indian reader the useful question is which of the four situations is yours and what the plan behind it costs in INR, with the Indian split included: a SaaS company in Bangalore, Pune or Hyderabad whose pages compete on google.com for American buyers, a financial brand whose content goes through RBI, SEBI or IRDAI-aligned review, a D2C store whose Amazon.in, Flipkart and Meta ad costs rise every quarter, or a jewellery chain with showrooms across several cities. Each case is mapped to that Indian situation below, with a note on whether it is a domestic or an export programme, because the two are priced and run differently.
Four documented results at a glance
Each row links to the full case study and names the Indian business it maps to; budgets are in INR from our Indian pricing guide and exclude GST.
| Case | Starting point | What was done | Result | Services behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| B2B SaaS platform (maps to a Bangalore, Pune or Hyderabad SaaS company selling to US and UK buyers; export programme) | Commercial pages on page two; demos from paid search; technical problems holding growth | Ceiling removed, decision-stage theme content for the target market, authority building, pipeline tracking | +320% organic traffic, 11× page-one keywords, 6.4× demo requests in 8 months | Full case; export programme from ₹60,000 a month |
| Regulated financial services brand (maps to an NBFC, fintech, insurer or broker under RBI, SEBI or IRDAI rules; domestic) | YMYL category; compliance on every page; thin authority | Compliance-reviewed content, named-expert signals, authority from relevant sources | Page one for high-intent terms, 5× organic enquiries, 4.4× organic clicks in 6 months | Indian industry SEO; managed programme ₹50,000–₹1,00,000 a month |
| Online retailer (maps to a D2C brand competing with Amazon.in, Flipkart and Myntra; domestic) | Cost per customer climbing; organic 14% of revenue | Category architecture, technical fixes on mobile, buying guides, COD and return content | −40% blended CAC, 3.5× organic sessions, organic revenue share 14% → 41% in 10 months | SEO services India; eCommerce programme from ₹50,000 a month |
| Jewellery retailer, online and in-store (maps to a chain with showrooms in metro and tier-2 cities; domestic, local-led) | Competitive category; organic 8% of revenue; showrooms absent from the map pack | Category and product SEO, showroom local SEO by city tier, content | 6× organic sales, +180% organic traffic, organic revenue share 8% → 34% in 3 months | Local SEO India plus category SEO; from ₹8,000 per outlet |
Every result here came out of the same process our India SEO team runs for each client: a data audit first, then a prioritised roadmap, then monthly execution.
The case studies
320% Organic Traffic Growth for a B2B SaaS Platform
B2B SaaS · 8 months. Commercial pages on page two, demos bought through Google Ads, a site held back by crawl and speed faults: that was the starting point for this B2B software platform. By month eight, monthly organic sessions had gone from 4,200 to 17,600, page-one keywords from 18 to 210 and demo requests from 9 to 58. A Bangalore, Pune or Hyderabad SaaS company selling abroad would run this as an export programme, measured against US or UK competitors on google.com rather than Indian ones.
- +320%Organic traffic
- 11×Page-one keywords
- 6.4×Demo requests

Page One in Six Months for a Regulated Financial Services Brand
Financial services · 6 months. Compliance on every page and almost no authority: a financial services brand in a YMYL category. Over six months, compliance-reviewed content, named experts and earned authority took the high-intent terms to page one, with page-one keywords rising from 6 to 73, organic enquiries from 12 to 61 a month and organic clicks from 1,900 to 8,400. An NBFC, fintech, insurer or broker in India faces the same shape of problem under RBI, SEBI or IRDAI-aligned review, with the enquiries arriving on WhatsApp.
- Page 1High-intent terms in 6 months
- 5×Organic enquiries
- 4.4×Organic clicks
40% Lower Customer Acquisition Cost for an Online Retailer
eCommerce · 10 months. Every quarter this online retailer paid more for the same customers, and organic brought only 14% of revenue. Ten months of category architecture, technical repair and buying guides lifted organic sessions from 22,000 to 78,000, organic revenue share to 41% and cut blended acquisition cost by 40%. An Indian D2C brand up against Amazon.in, Flipkart and Myntra gets the same lever from own-brand category pages with cash-on-delivery and return content the marketplaces do not offer.
- −40%Blended acquisition cost
- 3.5×Organic sessions
- +27 ptsOrganic revenue share
6× Organic Sales for a Jewellery Retailer in Three Months
Jewellery retail · 3 months. Showrooms plus an online store in a crowded category, with organic at 8% of revenue. One quarter of category, product and local SEO delivered six times the organic sales, 180% more organic traffic and an organic revenue share of 34%. In India the nearest case is a chain with showrooms in metro localities and tier-2 cities, where each outlet needs its own map-pack position and the fee is set per outlet by city tier.
- 6×Organic sales
- +180%Organic traffic
- 3 monthsTime to result
How we verify and publish results
The figures were pulled from each client’s Google Analytics, Search Console and, for enquiries and revenue, their CRM or store platform, using the client’s read access, and each client reviewed the case before publication. The comparison is the month before kickoff against a named month during the engagement; page-one counts are from Search Console. Names are withheld under NDA. Indian prospects can review the evidence under an NDA with data handling that follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, on a call in Indian Standard Time, and speak to a reference client where that client agrees. No result here predicts yours.
What the four cases have in common
- ✓Speed and crawl faults fixed before a word was writtenAll four started with the technical ceiling; on Indian sites the biggest piece of it is almost always load time on a mid-range Android over 4G, which Google measures from real users.
- ✓Pages for the buyer who actually pays, built firstService, product, category and comparison pages came before articles, and for Indian clients each was assigned to an Indian or an export buyer, because the two need different versions and different competitors.
- ✓Links earned, not bought by the hundredAuthority was concentrated on the pages carrying the money terms and came from sites the buyers read; Indian directory packages played no part.
- ✓WhatsApp counted, rankings notThe plan each quarter answered to demo requests, WhatsApp and call enquiries, revenue share or sales from the client’s own systems, which is why the budget held.

How an engagement runs from here
- 1Free audit, domestic or export (days 1–3)Send your domain, the cities you sell in and the countries you export to; you get a top-line audit, the case closest to you, whether yours is a domestic or export programme, and an INR estimate.
- 2Audit on Indian mobile, plan and tracking (weeks 1–3)Technical audit on Indian connections, content, authority and conversion review, a plan with milestones, and WhatsApp, call and form tracking in GA4 under the DPDP Act.
- 3Monthly delivery (from week 3)Technical fixes, decision-stage pages for the Indian or export buyer, content and links against the plan, with the queue visible each month.
- 4Monthly report by market, quarterly re-planEnquiries including WhatsApp, revenue and pipeline from organic each month by market; each quarter the plan moves toward what converted, as in the cases above.
An honest note on results
These four are here because their clients agreed and because the figures survived the clients’ own checking; they are not an average of what every engagement produces, and offering them as a promise would run against the Consumer Protection Act 2019 and ASCI guidelines. Each had a problem that could be fixed, demand that was real and a team that did the implementation, and that is why three to ten months was enough. If your Indian site is fighting Amazon.in or Flipkart on head terms, or starting in US search from nothing, plan for longer. Google decides its own results, so what we commit to is enquiry and revenue reporting, milestones by stage and month-to-month terms; the free audit is where we tell you which of these describes you, and sometimes that SEO is not the bottleneck at all.
